AmeriCorps is a federally funded program operated through PennSERVE: The Governor’s Office of Citizen Service. Men and women 18 years of age and older serve a one-year term, providing improvements to the community. AmeriCorps members are eligible to receive a living allowance during their year of service, and educational award for college or to pay back student loans upon completion of their tenure.
